The thing that always killed be about the DIY lambo door kits is that it's blatantly obvious that the doors weren't designed to open like that.
If you've got the $$ to buy a Gallardo and then do that to it, you should have the $$ to cut/weld the doors into a shape that goes up without having to swing out over the fender.
Perfect example:
Here's a fiero with a custom body that was pretty much hand done and one of a kind:
If you've got that much skill creating custom body work, why not cut the door so that they open straight up like the countach/diablo instead of swinging out like over the fender like all the rest of the knock-off kits:
Those that are lucky their whole lives usually die young...

the only cars that do look ok w/ vertical doors are FD RX7s b/c the way the doors are cut on the bottom and Subaru SVX b/c its funky enough as is.
but i still wouldn't do it due to the sheer mass and weight...not to mention it's pointless.

Unfortunately, the Z has not escaped this "mod".

I wish I had thought of that one. LOL!
I'm pleased to note I have never seen anyone add lambo doors to a 2nd generation Z like mine.
