Opinions on winter versus all season tires
Recently light snows, and slushy roads with nice little patches of ice have made me respond in the following manner to the question of "How does your car handle?"....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh THANK GOD I AM NOT DEAD aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Now; for the safety of my children, myself, and my fellow compatriots on the road; is it worth my while to purchase snow/winter tires vs all season? Or should I pray for mild precipitation free winters for the next 4 years?

Yes. Get a set of winter wheels and tires for your RWD vehicles for sure.

This is the first winter since 1986 that I am not driving a 4WD vehicle. So far, so good with the FWD car on all season tires. <knock on wood>

Look at it this way: a set of good winter tires is a VERY cheap insurance policy. All it takes is one slide off to pay for themselves, plus there's no deductible and no reduced valuation issues. Since no one else bothers to use them, you will be the one that has to stop in time - they can't.

Depends on the vehicle. Both my vehicles are 4 wd so I can run all season with no problem. (Vette's asleep) If you're talking about that stagecoach you just bought, go get some winter tires asap. I'm sure the tires on it are high performance speed rated tires that will suck when cold.

Get another set of rims and but snow tires on em, not worth the cost and trouble of switching tires for winger then back for spring and all season will kill ome performance....or just drive that awd audi u got in the snow, rick and I have survived just fine

Can't justify the cost for new set of wheels plus winter tires. Winter tires were purchased and being swapped out today.
Pirelli Sottozero. New set of wheels is more than the tires....darn big calipers.

Pick-a-part just had 50% off everything a week ago. Not sure if you could locate something there. Probably a long shot on CTS-V wheel set, but who knows what you might find.
