Detail(er) tip for those of you in Louisville...
I had my X5 detailed in/out (waxed, etc.) today by A.J. Schreder. His dad lives in Toledo and is a friend of mine (and former 330 GTS & 275 GTB owner__more on that later).

Anyway A.J. (former 911 & M5 owner) accepted Ford's engineer buyout and took his part-time interest fulltime. Company is called: Obsession Mobile Detailing (he comes to you!), (502) 608 7707 and obsessionmd@gmail.com

Tabb Schreder owned his Ferraris when they were merely used cars; it's tough to get him to talk about them. Have you ever read the account (in Griot's catalog) about why you shouldn't use an incandesent bulb for light when changing the fuel filter in your 275 GTB? Well, he lost both cars in the resulting garage fire (spent too much time to extinguish one fire and then it was too late to save the GTS).

Regardless of where you live, if you can get a small group together (even 3 vehicles) he'll travel some distance to accommodate you.

Look, we all know that we don't need any help keeping up the finish on our sportscars, but don't we also have other vehicles that suffer neglect (my wife's X5 is a good example)? Unfortunately, today's fresh wax job now has about 3" of fresh snow on it; what's up with that?!

I've actually used him twice this past year for getting some wax onto my Elise. He does a wonderful job and is VERY reasonable. Top notch products, quick results, etc...

I don't have any before/after shots but I think I took this photo about 2 weeks after the car's first waxing...

I'll actually be calling him to polish up the Elise before the early June British Bash car show.
