We really, really, really wanted to go this year, but not going to happen. Instead, we will be parked in front of the TV watching, so wave at the camera. Looks like the weather is going to cool down some and skies will be clear, at least here in Indy.

I didn't take any track pics, I let the professional w/me do that - hopefully he'll post them soon. I got a bunch of garage and paddock pics. Enjoy!

Love the garage balcony at Mid Ohio to watch the action.

Insanely long lenses.

I was either using a 70-200 2.8 or 400 5.6 the entire weekend. Best spots are along the esses, with a few good places in thunder valley.

We should meet up one of these days or cruises and talk cameras and lenses, since you definitely know what you are doing. I know I need to master what I have now before I spend more to get the huge pro lenses But, I need to learn from people that know what they are doing rather staring at a computer screen and trying to figure it out by deduction.

Nice job by the way.

Nice pics, the both of you! What equipment are you using? I have a Nikon D200, which is a very capable body in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing, and some nice legacy and newer glass....but I need to learn how to use it better. Also, I see these nice photos Andrew is taking with his SLR-Like camera.....and I have a Nikon P90 SLR-Like that is suppose to take really nice photos, but I don't know it well enough to get anything better out of it than what I could get with a micro point & shoot or even my blackberry. Suppose I should read the book on it too.

Anyway, nice photos guys.

Well thanks man...I'm using a Nikon D90 with a 18-105mm lens and a 70-300mm lens. Both are kind of a beginners or amateurs lens, but if in the right hands both can do quite well.

If I meet you on any cruises I can help you out a bit, or a few tips here and there.

Thanks! I was using either a Canon 50D or 5D Mark II. Lens wise I was using either a 70-200 2.8 or 400 5.6.
