I'd take the NSX over the two Ferraris

Here is a list of what I could have purchased for the same price as the NSX, but didn't, because I wanted a NSX (but I had too look just to see)...

Ferrari 308/348 (and Mondial)
Lotus Espirit/Elise/Exige
Maserati Spyder/Coupe
Chevrolet Corvette Z06
Mercedes SL
Porsche 911/Cayman (and Boxster)
Aston Martin DB7
BMW M3/M Roadster

And all were newer cars...except the 308s (and Mondials), and the 348 ranged from 91-94, and all are very nice cars.

Only I didn't want those other cars....the NSX has always been THE car I wanted. I like, not only the simple and clean styling of the car, but also the reliability. Let's face it though, the first thing that draw somebody to a car is styling. I like simple, not in your face styling, which is why I like the NSX (and 360, F355) over something that is in your face like the Elise/Exige (although I like the styling of the Espirit). It's just a matter of taste.

But, if someone was handing you the keys to any of the three above, with a contract that said you could not sell the car but it was yours for free? I too would probably choose the NSX, only because it's a Honda, and I would drive it hard and put it away wet. It's got cheaper maintenance, that's important to me with as much as I drive. I'll tell you what though, I would have nightmares that I should have chosen the 355, those things are pure sex to look at for me.

Edit: If maintenance is included then of course I choose the 355

2nd Edit: It's a good thing I'm not that picky, since I walk out to my 21 year old 5 series BMW that is the bottom of the line version when I do go out for a drive

Hence, the reason I bought a NSX. The NSX to me is the Sexiest car ever designed.

Other than the outstandingly obvious maintenance issue, I just have a love for the NSX. NA1 with some tasteful mods is way up on the list of my "must have" cars.

I'm with you, something about the looks of them just gets me in a way most ferrari's don't. My favorite color scheme would have to be the white with tan interior. there was a beautiful one on honda-tech from in san francisco with pictures in front of the gg bridge

I was in to Ferraris way before i was in to NSX's. I've only "known" NSX's for 2.5 yearsish. I saw my first Ferrari/liked them when i was 7.
