I took the Gallardo out to play in the snow this evening. Made a real mess of the church's parking lot. And no run-in with the authorities!

One of the news channels did a story about how to drive in snow/ice conditions. They did it with the highway patrol in a patrol car fixed up to cause cornering weighting issues at will. Long story short...The HP advice was for drivers to go to a wide open, snow covered parking lot and do donuts to learn how to control a slide.

Thanks, I'll use that as an excuse if someone complains.

Sounds like fun. I want to take the 308 out like that, but I have 20 miles of SALT soaked roads just to get to a parking lot. I can't stomach that in an old pre-rust proofed Italian car!

Have shot two does this winter in my hunting. I keep passing up bucks because I saw a huge one earlier and have been hunting one particular buck all year. During a raining/snowing day in muzzle loader late season I got a 40 yard broad side shot at him and my powder was soaked and the gun did not go off. Sickening feeling...
