So I had an extra turbo motor for my Z. It was being stored in a buddy's storage unit. Got the call this morning that his wife had failed to pay the storage unit bill and everything in the storage unit was auctioned off. The motor is gone. My buddy lost a whole lot more than I did. Really frustrating.

You know the guy(s) that bought out the contents had no clue about all the car parts in there, so I'm sure they ended up as scrap.

Not expensive by your standards. I had a buyer for it. He was going to pay me yesterday. That obviously fell through.

It was a specific turbo charged motor made from 1981 to 1983. Same as in car now.

No clue who bought it. No clue when the auction happened. No clue if the wife was ever warned about a pending auction.

Friendship with my buddy is way more important than what happened. He know what I paid for it when I bought it and he's sending me a check to make me whole. I just lose the profit from the resale, and that was my choice. My buddy was going to pay me the resale amount.

My friend stopped by this morning and gave me cash to compensate for the lost motor. Moving on with it.

He did the name of the auction house and will be following up to see if he can track down what happened to all the car stuff.

I hope to learn more today, but the company that bought the storage unit contents still has the motor. Trying to make arrangements to buy it back. If I can make that happen, then I have to figure out how to get the silly thing. My pick-up is currently dead.

OK, my buddy called tonight. He is picking up the engine on Wed and will store at his house until I can go pick it up.

I'll give him the $$ back that he gave me as restitution. All be will right. He is a stand up guy to go through all of this to set it all right. Guess that is why I have always respected him so much and been grateful at calling him a friend. So few in the World like that.

A truly good guy. Buy him a nice 6pack and a cigar.

First, take out a Government Loan I don't have to pay back, then....

So bore out the block from a 2.8L to a 3.1L. That is common on this block.
Port and polish the head.
Larger throttle body with larger intake.
Larger injectors.
Forged internals.
MegaSquirt and Spark for fuel and spark management.
17x9" wheels front with 17x9.5" in the back to run 275s. Yes, it fits fine if I roll the fenders.
Bigger turbo than what I have now.
Tune to 650RWHP in a 2800 pound car. Yes, its actually possible. Been done several times and it reliable.


Finally, kill myself with all that stupid horse power. Right after I beat a certain Diablo with a Datsun. LOL!
