You can now read private messages, but not send them
You can also "archive" messages that are in your inbox. That will put them in another folder, so that your inbox isn't cluttered, if you have a ton of messages like I do, and just want to keep the important ones visible.

Update:
You can now post private messages.
AND you can now send to multiple recipients. Just separate the names by a semicolon or new line.

Andrew...is there a way to log-off the site? Once I enter my username and password, it automatically logs me back in when I revisit the site. I did not click "remember me" when logging in. Believe it or not, I would prefer to be able to log-off when leaving the site.
Thanks

There's a small logout link in the little box on the left (under "Welcome, ZUL8TR"

Not at all.. it was a small link. I moved the "messages" to the left-hand side and added a logout link to the top now, more visible.

Andrew...had a thought about Events...Would it be better for them to be only accessible to "members"?

Hate to think of some LEO looking on here to get an idea of where to set-up a weekend speed trap. Obviously not implying that anyone in this group would remotely consider exceeding the speed limit or doing any other driving outside of the law. Just a thought to throw out there for consideration.

We could even go to the extent of making it "approved" members only...

Meaning that you have to be a confirmed non-officer...

But, im sure no one here has ever sped...

Might VetteCop take exception to this?

Photo gallery is now working. You can't edit or delete photos yet, but you can upload images, create albums, and edit albums.
Video gallery doesn't work yet

Eric is only a LEO when he's NOT in his Vette. So we can tell him he can only read the forum from his car. Problem solved. Vettecop took a brand new (500 miles) Vette and had headers, cold air intake, cats, exhaust, new heads, new intake, bigger injectors, and a cam installed. I doubt he did it for better fuel economy. He's got gears in his head when he's driving just like we all do.

Here's a very small bit of news...
really long links will be shortened so that they don't stretch the page out
Ex:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-360-Spider-CERTIFIED...QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I'm still trying to decide what to do as far as letting people join.
So far we haven't had any trouble but I'd rather prevent a problem than try to fix it after it happens. I'm not sure if people should have to "apply" to get in, that might raise our liability even more. I was also thinking as palmer suggested, that anybody can register, but they have to be approved to view certain areas. I'm more worried about punks in ricemobiles than cops.

There's now a very basic search available.
I'm going to add a couple other things, but for now it should do

Note that it also searches quoted text, but the quoted text isn't visible in the search results. So it might look like it's not working, but it really is. I don't see how it would be possible to not search quoted text
