Thanks for that. Getting Tires via Tire Rack and was just ready to look for a safe place to have them mounted. Like the N2 option as well. |

Stay away from Indy Tire of Carmel.
I needed my wheels balanced before a trip to chicago and they didn't torque down any of my lugnuts and I had flying lug nuts (literally); not cool. Had to go bother Jason at 1 in the morning for a torque wrench b/c I had to leave for Chicago.
and thanks for the review Rick, I was looking for a good shop. $20/wheel for mount/balance/nitrogen sounds like a really good deal. |

Thanks Rick for the review. I've been looking for a better tire place in town. I never thought I'd find one in my neighborhood. |

That's 3 for 3 now! They really did right by me. Update us after you get the wheels back for balance, etc. |

Mitch took his BRAND NEW rims there and had the manager put tires on
he not only stratched them, but when Mitch pointed it out his IMMEDIATE responce was "no I didnt"
then Mitch had to push the issue to get them to pay to fix them
Imagine how bad that would have been if they werent brand new
And him immediately denying it without even checking and trying to weisel outta it is sadening
not sure about them anymore |

I had them (Tire Barn in Fishers) mount a set of P-Zero Corsa's on my track rims two weeks ago and they did an excellent job again - no scratches. They've done 10 tires on 10 rims on the Lambo so far. They are still #1 in my book.
Where did Mitch have his tires mounted? Was it this same place? If so, I guess they were bound to mess up eventually. Sorry it was Mitch that had to take the hit. |

Again, they did right by me as well. Might be worth mentioning to them that wee are recommending them to others due to their quality work and that we report back to one another. Maybe they will be more careful when they know we have our own "Angie's List" happening. Food for thought. |

For what it's worth, I've taken both sets of my custom iForged wheels to Discount Tire on 31 at 146th street and had good experiences both times. |

I've dealt with them since like 1999 and I haven't had any troubles either. I went through 3 flat tires last summer and 1 flat not too long ago and they fixed it for free since I bought tires from there.
However, they did try to charge me extra (over $100) for having an OEM+ 18" wheels once .

I'm sad to disagree but there was an incident today at tire barn. Yuki brought his car to get his tires replaced and the guys at tire barn scraped his front bumper. When Yuki complained about it the guy who checked it they said they're going to pay for it. When Yuki asked them to sign a "we-owe-you" the manager said they're not going to pay for it. When we tried to talk to CJ, the manager, to tell him that the scrape wasn't there when they did the body inspection, he told us that we were wasting his time. He was shitty about the situation and didn't handle it like a professional. What a jerk.
I give this place 0 stars. I'm glad your cars didn't get scratch because if they did, I don't think they'll pay for it. |

Sorry about your bumper. What exactly did they do? Did they hit it with something, or did they run into something while driving the car into the service bay?
I've never taken the car there; I always take the wheels off the car at home and take them loose into the shop. Your experience suggests that this may be the correct way to deal with these guys. |

That's probably a good idea to take off your wheels first, especially if you want to take a low to the ground car. Anyways, so here's what happened....
1. I went there yesterday and I accidently brought 4 same tires (I have a staggered setup and have 10 tires in the storage...of 6 them being the same brand/model tire)
2. Came back today with the right ones, gave them the keys.
3. CJ put my work order in, inspected my car (I watched him take a small brown clipboard and walk around the car) and Jason and I left.
4. Called around 3PM, was told they are done so we went to pick up my car.
5. I paid and checked my car.
6. Found scrapes under my car I have never seen before.
7. Went back in, complained, and Dustin (<---really helpful) told me that they would reimburst the amount to fix it.
8. Jason advised me to get a written statement.
9. We went back in for a written statement and got yelled by CJ...
What annoys me is that they acknowledged it was a lowered car (we had a talk about my car being lowered when I brough in the wrong width tire) and accepted my keys yet, when I confronted with them that the bumper is scraped, they told me "well, it is a lowered car too". Then, knowing they did a full body inspection before they pulled it in the service bay, I asked "so it's my word against yours?", the answer was a yes. After being told that we are a "waste of his time", I just didn't care anymore, I just wanted to get out of that place.
They seem to have did a good job so far but I have some vibration at 60mph...which I am guessing it is wheel balance since I had my car aligned in December 07 and didn't have vibrations till today...after I readjust my tire pressure and if that doesn't solve it, I guess it's back to Discount tire @ 146th st for rebalance. They dont have the greatest customer service, but not bad either.

One of my good friend's uncle is the owner or CEO of Tire Barn. I'm gonna see if he can do something after I file a complaint.
With all honesty, I could have cared less about my bumper. Sure I JUST got it repainted in January, but I just wanted a "we're sorry we'll make sure it'll never happen again", not a

. I understand that mistakes do happen. I used to work at the tire service bay of Autobacs myself when I was in undergrad in Tokyo. However, morally, this is not a way to treat a customer. He didn't even come out to look at my car, just got yelled and was told that he did not scrape the bumper and that's that. |

I don't see a place to file a complaint (not filing those e-complaints off their site...who the hell read those?) so I hate to do it but asked my friend if he could give me some leverage here. He said he'll contact his relative and see what he can do. |

For the record, Dustin was very helpful and resourceful. There was another guy that put up with my stupid mistake of brining the wrong size tire as well.
I was charged $25/wheel WITHOUT the N2. Was originally quoted $18/wheel without N2. They charged me $5/wheel extra for having TPMS.
And I dunno...I have mixed feelings about this shop. Hate to rate it low just because of one person when the others were nice to me. |
