You'll have to give me a clue, I'm in an airport trying to see your link on my tiny BB screen. Looks like the rear of a Diablo to me, but you don't have to go to Ca for that! A Zxxxx possibly? |

You'll have to be more specific on which ones those are. I looked hard for an 81 Mondial 8 coupe, but could not find one to meet your description! |

Dan...CGT and Zonda are cool, but have you ever thought about several less expensive, but just as interesting cars, that would allow you to have a fleet to choose from? Even something borderline track specific, but barely street legal? |

money is no object when desiding what I like and want
it is an object when it comes to actually buying them
I have been thinking about an Ariel Atom, but I dont know alot about them and I think overall they are slow since they top out quickly, kinda like my shifter kart
and NO cars are as trilling, raw, and involving as a Zonda and CGT (except the McLaren F1, and I just cant justify 1.4-3.2 mil or so for one) thats why they are worth the cost
F40 would be close, but Ild have to get a 2nd mortgage just to keep it running |

All valid arguements. I see your points.
As for the Ariel Atom, there is a company in Michigan that builds a similiar machine for $16k for the rolling chasis. You decide on the motor and they will build the car to accept it. Strap a 4 cyl, supercharged motor to that light chassis and you'd have a screamer for less than an Atom. I'd venture a guess you can build an Atom equivalent for less coin and with better numbers/performance. All depends on what you want out of it.
All it takes is some research and you are rolling into your prime season for being able to do research, plus you can get input from the builder as to what they have produced for other clients.
I think it'd be a heck of a cool project and Palmer would be your bestest buddy again. LOL! |

I thought you might. No clue on price. The Deronda site says the Atom 500 is estimated at $230k vs a Deronda with 500 at $98k. |

Dan...from RCR:
"The SL-C has a very long list of attributes....not least being able to house many drivetrains and accomodate taller drivers...
2300lbs with an LS7....
Price point for a roller in coloured gelcoat is 44k usd.
We manufacture everything in the USA ..Detroit actually."
They will do an LS7! That should make you poop yourself.
Follow-up with Fran at RCR if you want to learn more. |

Two point eight seconds. That's how long it takes the 245-horsepower version of the Ariel Atom to rip from 0 to 60 mph. Two point eight. (Need a reference point? The all-wheel-drive 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo launches harder, has 235 more horsepower, and is 0.9 second slower.)
Simply put, the Atom is pure car--and nothing more. It has no doors, no windshield, no roof, and no body panels of any consequence. Its sole mission is to move itself from place to place at maximum possible speed.

Dan, The Atom 300 will beat the Enzo to 100. |

Buddy of mine has a Noble M12-GTO-3R. I have driven it once, crazy fast. Not as fast as the Ariel Atom, but for an enclosed car it is ridiculously quick. I am thinking it has over 400 hp and weighs something similar to the Lotus Elise. |

All the US Atom 300 are now using the Honda K20 with 6-speed tranny.
curb weight is 1400 pounds
0-60 is 2.8 seconds
0-100-0 is less than 11 seconds
4.7 pounds/bhp with the 300
Manufacturing is now located in Virginia, not Oregon as they were when they first started up in the US. |
